Activities

The Board -Meets monthly to plan the next month's calendar and take care of any upcoming business. The Board consists of a President, Administrative Vice President, Membership Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary.

Babysitting Coop -Meets once a month at a park, a member's home, or a restaurant. Attending the meetings offers moms the chance to meet each other coop members and become familiar with their children. This is open to all members interested in exchanging babysitting services with other moms in the group. We use a point system instead of money to pay each other for sitting.

Book Club -Meets monthly at a member's home to discuss a book that has been picked the month before.

Breastfeeding Support Group -Meets monthly and consists of moms who are currently breastfeeding, as well as those who have breastfed in the past, who support each other and share helpful advice.

Business Meetings -All members are invited to Business Meetings/Open Plays. Any upcoming events or issues are discussed and voted on at Business Meetings. Members may also add any events they would like to the next month's calendar. Prospective members may attend 2 meetings before officially joining MOMS Club.

Moms Night Out -Our one event each month that moms attend without kids. (Although nursing babies are always welcome) We usually meet at a local restaurant for supper, but have also gone to the movies or participated in a meals made ahead program.

Sunshine Committee -Provides meals to moms who just gave birth, adopted a child, had surgery/in the hospital, or are moving.

Playgroups -Meet on their own once a week and are set up according to the age of the member's children. Playgroups consist of 2 to 6 moms, with 4-5 moms being the average.

Recipe Exchange -Meets once a month. Each month we have a theme such as desserts, afternoon snacks, breakfast foods, holiday treats, etc. Bring copies of your favorite recipe and dish for the theme to share with everyone.

Welcome Committee -Meets once every other month or so to plan a party to help honor the new members that have joined. We work with the Membership Vice President to receive the new member’s information and use that information to welcome them to the club. They are also assigned a “sponsor” who contacts them and can be a point of contact when attending an activity. We also send out a questionnaire to the new member that tells the other members about who they are and what they like to do.

Current Events Group - Gathers to discuss local and national current events.
